AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX Gaming Mini PC
A compact gaming mini PC with 8-core AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX (Zen 3+), 32GB DDR5 RAM, and Radeon 680M graphicsβdesigned for 1080p gaming and multitasking, but overshadowed by newer Zen 4 alternatives.
The BOSGAME P3 positions itself as a premium mini PC with its Ryzen 9 6900HX (Zen 3+) and Radeon 680M iGPU, but its $499 price tag raises eyebrows when compared to newer alternatives like the GMKtec K8 PLUS (Ryzen 7 8845HS, $520). While the 6900HX delivers solid performance (Geekbench 5 multi-core: ~11,500), it's outpaced by the 8845HS's Zen 4 architecture (Geekbench 5: ~12,800) and Radeon 780M iGPU (RDNA 3, 12 CUs @ 2.7GHz vs. 680M's 2.4GHz). The P3's 0.55L chassis is compact, but its plastic build and single-fan cooling limit sustained performance (thermal throttling observed at 65W TDP).
Gaming performance is mixed: The 680M handles esports titles (CS:GO at 1080p/60fps) but struggles with AAA games (Cyberpunk 2077: 25fps at Low). The GMKtec's 780M offers ~20% better framerates and supports newer features like FSR 3.0. Connectivity is a bright spot with USB4 and dual 2.5G Ethernet, though the HDMI 2.0 (vs. 2.1 on GMKtec) limits 4K/120Hz display support. Storage expansion is flexible (dual M.2 slots), but the 1TB SSD's 3,500MB/s read speed lags behind PCIe 4.0 competitors (~7,000MB/s).
At $499, the P3 is hard to recommend over the GMKtec K8 PLUS ($520), which offers Zen 4 efficiency, better iGPU performance, and HDMI 2.1. The P3 isn't badβjust overpriced for its aging specs.
